Long before Angel Chimes became an international holiday icon, their origins were rooted in European folk tradition.
Angel Chimes trace back to the Weihnachtspyramide of Germany — wooden Christmas pyramids with candle-powered rotors, often decorated with nativity scenes. In the early 20th century, Swedish artisans began crafting their own version, reimagining the form in brass and metal to create a smaller, more elegant design.
By 1948, these chimes — featuring delicate angels spinning gracefully around a brass tower — had become a cherished decoration across Scandinavia and Northern Europe. The mechanism was ingenious yet simple: as candles burned, the rising warm air set the rotor in motion, gently moving the figures and ringing tiny bells.
With time, mass production and export took Angel Chimes beyond Europe. They found their way to the UK, Canada, and the United States, where they quickly became a nostalgic hallmark of Christmas celebrations.
In 2010, the story continued in Turkey, when we acquired the original production machinery from a respected Swedish company. Since then, Angel Chimes have been produced with the same attention to detail, craftsmanship, and authenticity — combining heritage and modern precision.
Today, every chime remains faithful to its origins:
• Original Swedish brass construction
• Candle-powered motion and melody
• A century of shared holiday memories
Each Angel Chime is officially trademarked and exclusively produced by Aras Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Company, ensuring its genuine character and singular source.
